Auf das Konzertdebut von Magdalena Renwart-Kahry 2011 im Wiener Musikverein folgten ein Stipendium der Richard-Wagner-Stipendienstiftung im Jubiläumsjahr 2013, sowie 2015 Konzerte am Teatro Giuseppe Verdi di Trieste, 2016 am Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli und 2018 am Teatro lirico di Cagliari.

Ihr Operndebut gab sie 2017 als Fünfte Magd in Elektra unter dem Dirigat von Juraj Valčuha am Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli, nachdem sie 2015 an der Opera di Firenze als Cover die Rolle der Leonore in Beethovens Fidelio mit Maestro Zubin Mehta erarbeiten durfte. Diese Partie verkörperte sie später als Premierenbesetzung in drei Neuproduktionen: 2018 am Stadttheater Baden, 2019 auf der Oper Burg Gars und 2021 semikonzertant in Stift Lilienfeld.

Im Operettenfach sang sie 2018 am Stadttheater Wiener Neustadt die Rolle der Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus und 2019 die Titelpartie in Die lustige Witwe.

Magdalena Renwart-Kahry wurde in Tirol geboren und wuchs in Italien auf, wo sie am Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rom diplomierte, bevor sie bei Univ. Prof. Gerhard Kahry in Wien studierte und die Opernschule an der Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien besuchte, sowie ein Studium der Gesangspädagogik an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien abschloss. Meisterkurse bei Christa Ludwig, Hilde Zadek, Julia Hamari, Linda Watson und Artur Korn rundeten ihre Ausbildung ab.

Neben ihrer künstlerischen Tätigkeit unterrichtet die junge Sängerin mit großer Freude an der Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien, an der Angelika-Prokopp-Sommerakademie der Wiener Philharmoniker, an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, am Sichuan College of Culture and Arts Gong Zhenxu in China und an der Gunma Opera Academy Noura-Juku in Japan.


Magdalena Renwart-Kahry made her debut at the Vienna Musikverein with a recital and was awarded a scholarship from the Richard-Wagner-Stipendienstiftung in Bayreuth. She served as cover in the role of Leonore in Beethoven's Fidelio under the direction of Zubin Mehta at the Opera di Firenze's Maggio Musicale Fiorentino festival and recently performed the role in two new productions at the Stadttheater Baden and the Oper Burg Gars open air festival in Austria. At the Teatro di San Carlo in Neaples she made her debut in Zemlinsky's Der Zwerg and sang Fünfte Magd in Elektra under the direction of Juraj Valcuha. She recently appeared in recitals at the Teatro lirico di Cagliari and the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi di Trieste and made her Operetta debut as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, followed by the title role of Die lustige Witwe at the Stadttheater Wiener Neustadt.

Magdalena Renwart-Kahry was born in Tyrol (Austria) and grew up in Italy, where she received her first diploma from the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome, before moving to Vienna and study with Gerhard Kahry and Linda Watson. She graduated from the University for Music and the Performing Arts and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, and also attended masterclasses with Christa Ludwig, Hilde Zadek, Julia Hamari, Artur Korn.

Also a university lecturer, Magdalena Renwart-Kahry teaches at the Sichuan College of Music and Arts Gong Zhenxu in China, at the Angelika-Prokopp-Sommerakademie of the Vienna Philharmonic, at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna, and at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna.
